HATHA YOGA

Most forms of yoga can be classified as Hatha Yoga. Hatha simply refers to the practice of physical yoga postures. Hatha practices are designed to align and calm your body, mind and spirit in preparation for meditation.

ASHTANGA VINYASA

This dynamic, physically demanding practice synchronizes breath and movement to produce an internal heat designed to purify the body. Ashtanga Vinyasa is great for building core strength and toning the body. Prepare to sweat as you briskly move through a set sequence.

iyengar yoga

This is a form of Hatha Yoga that has an emphasis on detail, precision and alignment in the performance of posture (asana) and breath control (pranayama). It often makes use of props, such as belts, blocks, and blankets, as it aids in performing postures correctly, minimising the risk of injury or strain, and making the postures accessible to both young and old.

I focus on helping my students increase the awareness of their breathing patterns - while they’re doing various asanas.

I’ve discovered that this helps them be more present, calm and peaceful throughout the day.

One of my students was severely disabled.

He had suffered a serious stroke at a young age - and while he wasn’t paralysed, he hardly had any limbs that he could use properly.

Even his speech was severely distorted.

I worked with him for over 6 months. Training him on various asanas and was amazed to see his improvement during this period.

I’m happy to say that he’s now able to walk around his home independently. He still needs a walker, but this is a huge step for someone who was largely bedridden before.

MY FEES

Rs.1000 to Rs.1500 per session

My fees are based on a variety of factors such as the travel distance, any kind of special therapy that would be needed etc.
